Chef De Partie

Primary Purpose:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at our Restaurant at the Airport in Luqa, Malta. Our ideal candidate is passionate about creating delicious and visually appealing dishes, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and excels in managing their station to ensure all dishes are prepared and served on time, especially for large tables.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Station Management:
    • Efficiently manage and operate your designated kitchen station.
    • Ensure all prep work and cooking tasks are completed accurately and on time.
    • Coordinate with other kitchen stations to ensure simultaneous and timely service of dishes.
  2. Food Preparation:
    • Prepare and cook high-quality, colorful, and tasty brunch dishes according to the menu specifications.
    • Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation of all dishes.
  3. Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen team members to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
    • Communicate effectively to ensure all team members are aware of upcoming orders and special requests.
  4. Quality Control:
    • Monitor food quality and presentation standards at all times.
    • Conduct regular taste tests and adjust seasoning and recipes as needed to maintain high standards.
  5. Inventory and Supplies:
    • Assist in managing inventory levels for your station.
    • Ensure your station is well-stocked with necessary ingredients and supplies.
    • Minimize waste and manage resources effectively.
  6. Cleanliness and Hygiene:
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
    • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
    • Participate in regular cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and tools.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong culinary skills with a focus on brunch cuisine.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • High standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
